what is F1 TO f12 keys are know for or what are the uses of it?

ANSWER:- Commonly known as "function keys", F1 through F12 may have a variety of different uses.Depending on the installed operating system and the software program currently open will change how each of these keys operate. A program is capable of not only using each of the function keys, but also combining the function keys with the ALT or CTRL key, for example, Microsoft Windows users can press ALT + F4 to close the program currently active.
 here is a short-listing of some of the common functions of the functions keys on computers running Microsoft Windows

F1:-

• Almost always used as the help key, almost every program will open the help screen when this key is pressed.
• Enter CMOS Setup.
• Windows Key + F1 would open the Microsoft Windows help and support center.
• Open the Task Pane.

F2:-

• In Windows commonly used to rename a highlighted icon or file.
• Alt + Ctrl + F2 opens document window in Microsoft Word.
• Ctrl + F2 displays the print preview window in Microsoft Word.
• Enter CMOS Setup.

F3:-

• Often opens a search feature for many programs including Microsoft Windows.
• In MS-DOS or Windows command line F3 will repeat the last command.
• Shift + F3 will change the text in Microsoft Word from upper to lower case or a capital letter at the beginning of every word.

F4:-

• Open find window.
• Repeat the last action performed (Word 2000+)
• Alt + F4 will close the program currently active in Microsoft Windows.
• Ctrl + F4 will close the open window within the current active window in Microsoft Windows.

F5:-

• In all modern Internet browsers pressing F5 will refresh or reload the page or document window.
• Open the find, replace, and go to window in Microsoft Word.
• Starts a slideshow in PowerPoint.

F6:-

• Move the cursor to the Address bar in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
• Ctrl + Shift + F6 opens to another open Microsoft Word document.

F7:-

• Commonly used to spell check and grammar check a document in Microsoft programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.
• Shift + F7 runs a Thesaurus check on the word highlighted.
• Turns on Caret browsing in Mozilla Firefox.

F8:-

• Function key used to enter the Windows startup menu, commonly used to access Windows Safe Mode.

F9:-

• Opens the Measurements toolbar in Quark 5.0.

F10:-

• In Microsoft Windows activates the menu bar of an open application.
• Shift + F10 is the same as right-clicking on a highlighted icon, file, or Internet link.
• Access the hidden recovery partition on HP and Sony computers.
• Enter CMOS Setup.

F11:-

• Full-screen mode in all modern Internet browsers.
• Ctrl + F11 as computer is starting to access the hidden recovery partition on many Dell computers.
• Access the hidden recovery partition on eMachines, Gateway, and Lenovo computers.

F12:-

• Open the Save as window in Microsoft Word.
• Shift + F12 save the Microsoft Word document.
• Ctrl + Shift + F12 prints a document in Microsoft Word.
• Preview a page in Microsoft Expression Web

old IBM computer keyboard has F24 keys and this are newly generated keyboard keys.

HOW TO MAKE A NEW PARTITION ON WINDOWS 7

HI,
let talk about new partition in windows 7.
like in windows XP it is quite difficult to make a new partition but in windows 7 its too easy.

for creating new partition in windows 7 do the following steps:-
1) go to START then RIGHT CLICK ON COMPUTER.
2) CLICK ON MANAGE.
3) then double click on STORAGE.
4) again double click on DISK MANAGEMENT.
5) at the bottom look there is written  DISK 0
6) from the DISK 0 row RIGHT CLICK ON UNALLOCATED drive  (or any drive from which you want to make a new partition ).
7) and select SHRINK VOLUME.
8) A POP-UP COMES.
9) there at "enter the amount of space to shrink in MB " enter the size of new disk you want.
10) click SHRINK.
11) NOTE:- a new UNALLOCATED drive is formed.
12) RIGHT CLICK on  the UNALLOCATED drive.
13) click on NEW SIMPLE VOLUME.
14) click on NEXT.
15) again enter the amount of new drive in SIMPLE VOLUME SIZE IN MB.
16) click NEXT again click NEXT
17) tick on PERFORM A QUICK FORMAT.
18) click on NEXT and then click on FINISH.

this is how you can create a new partition on windows 7.
NOTE:- if there is no UNALLOCATED drive then you need to create from the existing drive.
just right click on any drive and click on  SHRINK VOLUME then enter the amount in the 
"enter the amount of space to shrink in MB " areas and hit SHRINK.


then try making a new partition.

BOOT MANAGER (BOOTMGR) MISSING IN WINDOWS

HI,
let talk about boot manager i.e bootmgr is missing.
is your pc won't start?
OR
your pc crashes due to corrupted file?

here some suggestions
causes:-1) while working on computer,due to viruses or due to automatic booting of computers file get corrupted and computer not works properly.
2) the most common reasons for bootmgr error include corrupt and misconfigured files,hard drive and oprating system issues,corrupt hard drive sectors,an outdate BIOS,damaged or loose IDE cables.
3) when pc trying to boot from a hard drive or flash drive that is not properly configured to be booted from,in other worlds it's trying to boot from non bootable source


solutoin:-
1) restart the pc
2) inster oprating systems disc into ROM and reinstalle the OS.

NOTE:- if you are booting computer from non flash drive check that all connection should be proper.
this is the only solution for BOOTMGR missing error.

INTEL CORE UNLOCK

HI,
Today let think about Intel core unlocking.
have you ever heard about intel core unlocking?
the answer is "NO"

core unlocking is only possible in AMD processors.

well let me tell you my own story.

here it is:-

last year my pc's configuration is
Intel dual core @ 2.50ghz (but i got only 1 core)
1GB DDR2 ram.

and after some months i upgraded my pc to play games.
i played many game,but sometimes due to single core i couldn't play some games like
call of duty black ops (it starts and crashes)
driver San Francisco (it also crashes)
and dirt 3 (it says "the game requires dual core")

this are some problems and also during game-playing games run slow and sometimes hangs.

i have searched many websites but nothing works.

than i thought i need to overclock my CPU may be this will speed up my gaming.

than i overclocked it and also unlocked core.


how?

here's the answer :-

like in AMD you need to enter BIOS and than unlock cores.
but for intel you just need to overclock it from 0.10ghz to 0.50ghz like i have done.

i just entered BIOS and overclocked my processor from 2.50 ghz to 2.60ghz.

it pretty simple.:)


NOTE:- unlocking intel core is possible only if there are 2 or more cores in CPU but you get less than that (like dual core contains 2 core but i got only 1 core)

COMPUTER SLOW DOWN

HI,
lets talk about computer slowing problem.

Causes:- basically computer slow down due to storage of temporary file,error files,installed or uninstalled software's files etc.
there are many Reason  associated with it.

if u instal or uninstall any software or driver it requires some other information for this purpose.and this information is stored in RAM (random access memory as it randomly access memory form various area of computer). whenever pc is shut down RAM automatically deletes all stored files.
also
if you're trying to run any software,games etc if some error report comes and program doesn't works,then this error reports are stored in that RAM but not deleted so as you keep information about problem and report it to the computer.

also some cache from internet and different website's temporary files are stored in this rams and also in computer to protect computer from malware while giving you information about it etc.

there are many reason.

how to fix it:-1) go to START MENU then go to ACCESSORIES then  go to SYSTEM TOOLS
                           click on DISC CLEAN UP.
                           run it and select all files and delete it.

2) use C-CLEAN or REG CURE to clean you registry.this is the free software and much effective for Indians as well.

3) use legal antivirus or anti-malware.download and bye it install it and scan your whole computer.

4) use  DERANGEMENTER. go to START MENU then go to ACCESSORIES then  go to SYSTEM TOOLS.
run it and speed your computer.

STOP 0X0000007B ERRORS

HI,
lets talk about 0x0000007B errors.
0x0000007B errors are the most common errors in computers.

these errors is called as BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH OR (BSOD)

causes of there error are:-1) failure of hard drive
2) failure in drives.
3) not proper working of hard drive or drivers.
4) failure or not proper working of motherboard.
5) processor fault(this is not every time but sometime)
6) memory slot or ram failur.

how to know or errors messages:- "stop;0x0000007b" or "inaccessible_boot_device"

color:- this messages appears on blue screen.
and written on upper or lower side of screen.
sometime this happen while operating windows or may be at the boot up screen.
or while installing OS or any other driver.

how to fix it:- 1) try to format and reinstall OS.while installing note down the speed of installation in your mind and compare it with the old speed as sometime you have done before.

2) if 1st method doesn't work try removing your hard drive and instal friends hard drive to your pc.and again try installing OS into the new hard drive.
OR
try to attach your hard drive to friends computer.

3) if this doesn't work test the ram using MEMTEST86.(a free software for ram testing,just write it to CD/dvd and use it while booting just like installing an OS)
 this while check your ram problem.

if its fine then only your HARD DRIVE problem is there.
take your hard drive to the service center and replace it with new one.

and instal the OS into the new hard drive.

NOTE:- before installing the OS into the new hard drive make sure to remove all PCI drivers from the PCI slot.

CMOS BATTERY FAILURE AND SYMPTOMS

lets talk about CMOS battery failure and solution.

full form:- CMOS stands for complementary metal oxide semiconductor.

work/purpose:-every computer require a small battery on the system board that provides power to the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) chip, even while the computer is turned off. This chip contains information about the system configuration (e.g., hard disk type, floppy drive types, date and time, and the order in which the computer will look for bootable disks). The CMOS battery allows the CMOS to preserve these settings.

failure symptoms:- 1) Incorrect computer date and time settings (earliest symptom while operating pc)
2) The laptop could not find a printer.
3) Malfunctioning of the mouse.
4) Problems launching a program.
5) Beeping sound from the computer.
6) You may start getting errors while in boot up in the motherboard BIOS that say: "CMOS Checksum Error', 'CMOS settings wrong', 'CMOS battery error' as well as 'CMOS read error'.


if any error comes please change the CMOS battery as soon as possible.
you can find it at watch stop,computer shop,electronic shop.
be careful while buying the battery.check the expiry date at of battery at the back of cover.
every battery at lest have 3 year of life span minimum and 10 year maximum.

HOW TO INSTAL WINDOWS 7

HI,
today we'll talk about windows 7 installation.
all you need is
pc
windows 7 DVD(it should be virus free)
rom.
etc
lets start

1) power on your computer.
2) enter BIOS while hitting DEL or F10 from keyboard.
3) insert your windows 7 disc into rom.
4)go to BIOS FEATURE SETUP and CHANG 1ST BOOT to CD/DVD ROM.5) hit f10 than hit "y" then enter.
5) then again hit ENTER after it says "hit enter to load from cd or dvd".
6) hit NEXT when windows loaded.
7) the hit INSTAL.
8) choose CUSTOM and it will take you to hdd partition.
9) select the drive you want to windows instal.
10) hit NEXT and setup will start.
11) after setup will complete again go to BIOS And change !st boot to HARD DRIVE.
12) thats it.
after all this make sure that you update your windows and your drives soon.

COMPUTERS MOST FREQUENT PROBLEM,PCI DEVICE LISTING

HI,
Today we'll talk about computers most frequent problem know as PCI DEVICE LISTING.
lets start:-
pci stands for Peripheral Component Interconnect.
sometime due to newly installed graphic card,video card,add on cards,audio card,internal networking modem etc it occurs.
to know this problem just boot your computer and before booting it hangs at BLACK AND WHITE screen saying "PCI DEVICE LISTING"
there at the top left your computers configuration is written.something written like CPU TYPE AND CACHE MEMORY and so on.

at the bottom of screen there may be written ACPI CONTROLLER or MASS STORAGE CONTROLLER or DISPLAY CONTROLLER ETC.

then if you tried formatting your hdd and reinstalling windows and after that it isn't work.
then the only thing you can do (1st try this step then it works fine)
is 
1) unplug you pc.
2) open the cabinet.
3) take out all the pci device like graphic card or modem,video card etc make sure that pci slot is empty.
4) insert your monitor's plug into the motherboard's slot instead of  graphic card's slot.
5) take the windows CD/DVD and insert it into rom.
6) start your computer and enter BIOS while tapping DELETE or F10 from your keyboard.
7) go to  BIOS FEATURE SETUP.
8) there you'll find FIRST BOOT FROM.
9) change that 1sth boot to CD/DVD ROM.
10) hite f10 then hit "Y" from keyboard and then hit ENTER.
11) again install the OS.and after finishing the setup do not change the "1ST BOOT FROM TO HARD DRIVE" as your PC will automatically do this.
12) than after installation make your computer restart for almost 10 times.
then again if it works fine then instal your pci device.

NOTE:- do not change your by yourself hard drive,motherboard,cmos battery or any other drive,or devices till they are not damage.
before installing windows backup your data or just format your whole hdd.than make a new partitions and reinstall it.there is also another way of doing this.if this doesn't work mail me.
