HOW TO MAKE A NEW PARTITION ON WINDOWS 7

HI,
let talk about new partition in windows 7.
like in windows XP it is quite difficult to make a new partition but in windows 7 its too easy.

for creating new partition in windows 7 do the following steps:-
1) go to START then RIGHT CLICK ON COMPUTER.
2) CLICK ON MANAGE.
3) then double click on STORAGE.
4) again double click on DISK MANAGEMENT.
5) at the bottom look there is written  DISK 0
6) from the DISK 0 row RIGHT CLICK ON UNALLOCATED drive  (or any drive from which you want to make a new partition ).
7) and select SHRINK VOLUME.
8) A POP-UP COMES.
9) there at "enter the amount of space to shrink in MB " enter the size of new disk you want.
10) click SHRINK.
11) NOTE:- a new UNALLOCATED drive is formed.
12) RIGHT CLICK on  the UNALLOCATED drive.
13) click on NEW SIMPLE VOLUME.
14) click on NEXT.
15) again enter the amount of new drive in SIMPLE VOLUME SIZE IN MB.
16) click NEXT again click NEXT
17) tick on PERFORM A QUICK FORMAT.
18) click on NEXT and then click on FINISH.

this is how you can create a new partition on windows 7.
NOTE:- if there is no UNALLOCATED drive then you need to create from the existing drive.
just right click on any drive and click on  SHRINK VOLUME then enter the amount in the 
"enter the amount of space to shrink in MB " areas and hit SHRINK.


then try making a new partition.
