HEAT SINK

An electronic device that incorporates either a fan or a peltier device to keep a hot component like processor cool.
there are two types of heat sink i.e PASSIVE HEAT SINK and ACTIVE HEAT SINK.

ACTIVE HEAT SINK:- Active heat sink utilize power and are usually a fan attached to it.its better to purchse an active heatsink with a ball bearing motors which last much longer than sleeve bearings.this type of heatsink is often referred as HSF which is a short form of HEATSINK AND FAN.
ACTIVE HEAT SINK:-

PASSIVE HEAT SINK:- Passive heat sink have no mechanical components.they are made up of aluminium finned radiator that dissipates heat through convection.for better working of passive heat sink it is recommended that there is a steady air flow moving across the fins.
PASSIVE HEAT SINK:-
